Entrepreneur Talk Series on “Women Entrepreneurship- Opportunities & Challenges” @ GLBIMR on October 26, 2018

GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida, organized an Entrepreneur Talk Series on “Women Entrepreneurship-Opportunities & Challenges” on October 26, 2018, with the objective to sensitize the students about the struggles and sacrifices made by women entrepreneurs in India, the challenges they faced in achieving their dreams and steps taken by them to face those challenges . The Expert Panelists of the panel discussions included Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, Founder & CEO, Ssrishti Foundation, Ms. Smriti Bhatia, Founder, Chocohouse- Zero Resistance and Ms. Sangita Khosla, Director, Space Age Security Solutions & Om Nanotech. This initiative was taken by the institute under the leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. Faculty Coordinators, Ms. Komal Kapoor, Dr. Alpana Agarwal & Ms. Daitri Chatterjee managed the session making it a great learning for the students.

To mark the commencement, the ceremonial lamp was lighted by Dr. Urvashi Makkar along with the distinguished guests, students, faculty and staff members. Dr. Makkar warmly welcomed the guest speakers and shared the current issues women entrepreneurs are facing in the country and solutions ahead. She highlighted that the session is a reinforcement of our institute's vision to shape young minds as not just successful professionals but as nation builders of tomorrow.

The distinguished panelist Ms. Sangita Khosla, an eminent personality in the technology and telecommunication industry shared her journey of holding the key position in the largest exporter of RAM in the country. She also highlighted that women’s are capable of achieving economic independence individually and can generate employment opportunities for others through initiating, establishing and running an enterprise by keeping pace with her personal, family and social life. Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, a social activist also shared her story of working with Ssrishti to empower marginalized women and to educate the children from weaker society. Ms. Smriti Bhatia also shared her exhilarating journey of becoming the founder of Chocohouse and how her fondness for chocolate lead to the discovery of Ayurvedic chocolates. The distinguished guest speakers encouraged the students to recognize the spark within them and make efforts to change the radical attitudes and mindsets of society.

The session was highly interactive & invigorating; it imparted the basic theoretical knowledge to be a flourishing entrepreneur. It kindled the spirit of enthusiasm & motivation amongst GLBIMR-ians!
