Youngsters in today’s world face numerous expectations and constant stimulation through the internet and other media and communication technologies. Yoga provides peace & training of mind and body to bring emotional balance. With the objective to sensitize students, faculty and staff members about the importance of yoga to gain balance and control in their life, GLBIMR under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General organized a special yoga session on “Yog Se Nirog” by renowned Yoga Expert Shri Ramnish Vatsa on December 12, 2018.
Dr. Makkar in her address welcomed the guest and shared that Yoga is not just the practice of asana, pranayama, kriya and kundalini techniques, and shatkarma; it is imbibing a way of life, thus improving the quality of life itself. She also highlighted the endless emotional and physical disorders that an adult faces due to unhealthy lifestyle choices and how the practice of Yoga can help them overcome these problems and lead a healthy lifestyle. Shri Ramnish Vatsa shared the importance & relevance of Yoga Sadhna & Yog Mudras and demonstrated various yoga Aasana's to the Students, Faculty & Staff members. He also shared that the word “Yoga” implies the merging together of all the essential aspects of an individual namely- the body, the mind and the soul – to achieve a content, balanced and useful life which spiritually unites the individual with the supreme.
Everyone appreciated the session & pledged to make Yoga, an integral part of life.
