Covid-5S (Salvage Stress Spectacular Self-Belief Sublime) Steps for Future Leaders Success

Faculty & students (PGDM Batch 2019-21) of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida attended an Online Webinar under Expert Talk Series on the topic “Covid-5S (Salvage Stress Spectacular Self-Belief Sublime) Steps for Future Leaders Success” on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR. The speaker of the session was Mr. D K Bakshi, Chief Mentor & CEO, Global Talent Company Ltd, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Singapore & Canada.

The objective of the session was to provide an opportunity to the students about how to use Covid 5S in this time of pandemic and uncertainty to emerge as a winner.

During the session, Mr. D K Bakshi deliberated upon the challenges faced due to Covid-19 and shared the techniques for converting these challenges into learning opportunities. He emphasized that India, as a country of young population will emerge as a super power in coming 4-5 months. Youngistan (Young Generation of India) will take India to new heights but they need to be disciplined, hardworking and committed towards their job. He also discussed 5S of Covid-19 i.e. Salvage, Stress, Spectacular, Self Belief & Sublime. He stated that we all are in fire fighting mode against Covid-19 and it’s time for action. Youngistan need not feel stressed and should utilize this time in skill enhancement. He also shared the importance of networking during this time, as people in the process can be the future employers of Youngistan. Then he shared the importance of self belief. He emphasized that to be self-confident, students need to trust their own abilities and believe that they can do what they set their minds for. The students asked questions from him regarding stress management, self introspection and self development. Before concluding, he shared his words of wisdom about individual health and following safety precautions.

Overall, it was a highly informative and insightful session.
