Webinar under Alumni Talk Series on the topic “Challenges in Business During COVID-19”

Faculty & students (PGDM Batch 2019-21) of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida attended an Online Webinar under Alumni Talk Series on the topic “Challenges in Business During COVID-19” on Saturday, May 30, 2020 under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR.

The panelists of the session were Mr. Pulkit Rastogi, Manager- Sales & Marketing, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mr. Satyyam Srivastava, Co-Founder and COO – Rentezee, Mr. Devojeet Sarkar, Network Manager - North India, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Chandan Kumar, Founder Director, Craft Ur Career Educations Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Abhishek Dubey, Manager, Genpact, Mr. Himanshu Kumar Verma, Assistant Manager, KPMG, Mr. Rishi Srivastava, Manager – Sales & Marketing, Entab Infotech, Mr. Vikas Kumar Ojha, Asst Manager - Account Support, ebay, Ms. Prabha Singh, Cluster Manager, Stanza, Mr. Bhaskar Tripathi, Key Account Manager, Zomato & Ms. Anuja Agarwal, HR Head, QA InfoTech Software Services Pvt. Ltd. and Ms. Radhika Malhotra, Program Chairperson, GLBIMR was the moderator of the session.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR in which he shared his valuable insights and stated that safety of human beings is the utmost priority. He also stated that due to lockdown, incomes are shrinking and 40% contraction has been observed in GDP. During the session, Mr. Devojeet Sarkar shared that Automobile Industry is facing challenges from last 2-3 years. He also advised the students to be specialists and not just generalists. Mr. Pulkit Rastogi found positivity in the environment because consumers are intended to buy the vehicles. Mr. Bhaskar Tripathi told that their organization is following the WHO advisory which consists of 7 steps to maintain hygiene and healthy environment for the consumers. Mr. Chandan Kumar encouraged all to develop multi talents through personality development so as to cope up with the current situation. Mr. Abhishek Dubey suggested the budding managers to brush up their skills. Mr. Himanshu Kumar Verma advised to capitalize on the students' skills. Mr. Vikas Kumar Ojha emphasized to take this situation as a new opportunity and advised everyone to develop skills on Advanced Excel and multi tasking. Before concluding, Ms. Prabha Singh, Mr. Rishi Srivastava, Mr. Satyyam Srivastava and Ms. Anuja Agarwal stated that it’s the time to motivate employees and developing new skills to combat the current crisis.
