GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida organized “Parichay 2020” on Friday, September 25, 2020 for the students of PGDM Batch 2020-22 under the patronage of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions. The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Vanithadevi (VANZ), MRS SINGAPORE INDIA 2013, Director, Style Etiquette, Founder of Miss & Mrs Singapolitan Pageantry.
The session started with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR with great pride and happiness welcomed the students to the Virtual Freshers Party which provided them a platform for a formal introduction with the senior students. He shared that career must be the top most priority but co-curricular activities also play an important role in shaping up the overall personality.
The program started with the dance performance on Ganesh Vandana aesthetically presented by Ms. Poornima Dey. Then, a compiled video of all the participants of First Year was shown during the event and the videos of selected students were shown to the judges for selection to the next round. During ‘Question & Answer’ round, selected students were asked questions by the Judges and the final 14 were selected on the basis of the best answers received. The final 14 students were asked questions by the Chief Guest Ms. Vanithadevi (VANZ). A fun game - ‘Tongue Twister’ was also played in which the students enthusiastically participated. Games like ‘Mimicry’ and ‘Dumb Charades’ were also organized which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
Later on, the winners were announced by Ms. Vanithadevi (VANZ). The title of Mr. Fresher was awarded to Reshav Siwas; Ms. Fresher to Shreya Chourasia; Mr. Handsome to Harshit Singh and Ms. Beautiful to Ayesha Iram Khan.
The Judges for the event were Dr. Anand Rai, Dr. Shuchita Singh and Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Misra, faculty members of GLBIMR. Apart from these, senior students also bestowed various titles to their juniors.
This Freshers Party welcomed the new students in a friendly atmosphere and also provided an opportunity to the senior and junior students to mingle with each other easily.
