Battle of Pitches at GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research. PGDM Institute:

Marketing Club of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida organized - “Battle of Pitches” on Thursday, September 24, 2020 for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21 under the patronage of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions.

The session started with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR addressed the students and explained the word ‘maverick’ i.e. exclusive and independent. He hoped that the students are trained properly to remain focused on their career path by their mentors. He shared the success mantra to remain unbeatable in this cut throat competitive world. He stated that to be a winner one must know their strengths and weaknesses and added that to succeed and sustain, they must know their competitors.

The Judges for the competition were Prof. Parul Yadav, Prof. Amit Kumar and Prof. Vikram Kumar Sharma, faculty members of GLBIMR.

The competition started with a brief introduction of the Marketing Club by student coordinators - Ms. Jahnavi & Ms. Shalini Shishodia. During the session, a total of seven teams participated in the competition namely - The Right Writers, Marketing Maestro, Money Makers, Krocksszz, Sultan of Sales, Trade Reapers and Dream Team. Each team was given 5-7 minutes to showcase their presentation in which they explained their marketing strategies to sell their products and services. The presentation was followed by question and answer round by the judges.

At the end, the judges were requested to share their concluding remarks. The student coordinators thanked the faculty coordinators for their constant support and encouragement.

The competition enhanced students’ creative potential, quick thinking and confidence in putting arguments while speaking. It also provided them a platform for putting their stand with arguments backed by facts and confidence.

Overall, it was an engaging session.
