Journal Policies

Editorial Policy

The Journal follows double blind review process. All manuscripts received are checked for their relevance with the Journal theme and then checked for plagiarism. If they are found suitable then they are sent to two referees hiding the author(s) details. One review is done by external faculty and other by internal faculty member. It takes about two-three months time to get both reviewers’ results. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based upon reviewers’ feedback. The Journal holds the rights to include any changes that it may consider appropriate for the paper from the publication point of view. The editor is responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the Journal will be published.

The editor will evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors' race, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy. The decision will be based on the paper’s importance, originality and clarity, and the study’s validity and its relevance to the Journal's scope.

Publication Ethics policy

Submissions of manuscript mean that the work described has neither been published previously nor is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and is approved by all authors. Submitting the same paper to more than one journal represents unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Archiving Policy

‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management aims at disseminating the intellectual work of the authors and editors to a maximum number of readers, now and in the future. In order to do so, we distribute our publications worldwide, both in printed and in electronic form, and keep them available for long periods of time. In 2016, we have digitized our entire Journal archive making the complete Journals accessible online and available in print.

Copyright Policy

‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management respects the intellectual property of the authors. Before the manuscript can be published in the Journal, we require authors to grant and assign the entire copyright in it to the Journal. Authors will be provided with a copyright form once the contribution is accepted for publication. The submission will be considered as final only after the filled-in and signed copyright form is received. In case there are two or more authors, the corresponding author needs to sign the copyright form. If the manuscript is not accepted for publication, then authors will be notified in writing and the copyright and all rights conferred by copyright shall revert to them.

Open Access Licensing Policy

All articles published by ‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management are made available to the readers under an open access license. This implies that everyone has free and unconstrained access to the full-text of all articles published in ‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management and everyone is free to re-use the published material by properly citing the original publication.

Article Retraction/Correction Policy

The Journal editors can consider retracting a publication if

  • they have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, or have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross referencing, permission or justification
  • it constitutes plagiarism
  • it reports unethical research

The Journal editors can issue a notice of correction if:

  • only a small section of the publication proves to be misleading
  • the references list is incorrect in the sense that any of the deserving author has been missed or somebody who does not meet authorship criteria has been included.
