GLBIMR organized the First Edition of the ESG Conclave on 5th November 2022. The event was conducted under the guidance of our esteemed Director Dr. Sapna Rakesh and faculty members.
ESG Conclave brought to the forefront pertinent issues associated with climate change and corporate practices that have major implications for the future. It served as a platform to dive deep into the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices as our chief guest, Mr. Indrajit Ghosh (Chairman, MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India), Mr. Ashish Aggarwal (Professor, IIM Lucknow) shared the insights with the audience.
Our panelists included Mr.Sitesh Barche (Sr. Manager, NTPC Limited), Mr. Ranveer Tanwar (Founder of Say Earth NGO), Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta (Change Catalyst-CRC Partnership & Strategic Alliances), Mr. Ankur Handa (Assistant Vice President, Mirae Asset Investment Manager) and Dr. Deepak Tandon (Professor, IMI Delhi) conducted an informative discussion about how a business organization can give true meaning and purpose to ESG. Later we were joined by Mr. Ramveer Tanwar, an incredible and inspiring environmentalist and TEDx speaker. He is prominently known as the 'Pond Man of India'. The session was highly interactive.
The conclave helped the students understand how adopting environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing has become relevant for all the stakeholders in the long term.
